Our Water, Our Future, Writing Contest

December 4, 2015

Calling all Wisconsin writers (18 years and older)!  The “Our Water, Our Future” writing contest seeks short stories that speak to a “resilient and desirable future” for the water and inhabitants of the Yahara Watershed of south-central Wisconsin.  Contest organizers challenge writers to imagine creative, yet plausible solutions to this future and that take into consideration the known science of watersheds, climate-change and more.  The deadline to submit your story will be February 1, 2016.

Winners and finalists will be announced on March 22, 2016.  In addition to a variety of prizes from area businesses for the winner and finalists, the winner will also see his/her work published in the June 2016 issue of Madison Magazine.

Contest sponsors include: Center for Limnology, Madison Magazine, Sustain Dane, Water, Sustainability and Climate in the Yahara River Watershed, and the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts & Letters.

Be sure to review the Detailed Contest Rules.
