Large format/poster printing is now available at Steenbock Library to faculty, staff and students.
In order to use this service, there is important, procedural information with which to be aware as shared, below, and in more detail from the library’s Poster Printing services page.
Placing an Order
Note: As the service point is staffed by a dedicated consultant, you must place your order, in person, between 4:00-9:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday. We ask that you approve the poster, in person, before printing can commence.
File format: TIFF only; library lab resources can be used to convert your file. Please use the following naming convention for your file: FirstNameLastName-OneWordDescription.filetype.
Bring the file on a flash-drive to the consultant or, in advance, log on to one of our InfoLab computers and place the file on the public storage drive: (S:) STEENBOCK POSTER DROP folder.
Size and paper stock: Given the size of the printer, the maximum width/length for one edge/side is 43″ (inches); the other edge/side can be up to 100′ (feet).
Only satin paper is available.
Collecting Your Order
Note: Due to volume of the service, posters cannot be printed upon demand or while you wait. You will, though, be able to collect your poster at the service desk during any hour the library is open.
Turn-around estimate: Within three hours. During high-volume periods, it could take as long as two days to process your request.
Pricing and Payment: You will pay for your poster when you come to collect it. The price is $4.00 per square foot (with a minimum price of $4.00). Sales tax is applied.
Paying for Your Order
The library can accept the following forms of payment:
- Wiscard (Print account or Campus Cash)
- Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or American Express). Your card must be presented at time of payment.
Please note that we cannot accept department funding numbers.
For any questions, or feedback, regarding this service, please speak with library staff.
