Adult Role Models in Science, Volunteer Opportunities & Training

June 10th, 2015

The Adult Role Models in Science (ARMS) program in cooperation with the Madison School District’s summer school, seeks volunteers to mentor and encourage young learners as they explore their environment, integrating outdoor recreation, science and literacy. Volunteers will collaborate with teachers and youth leaders at an elementary school for an hour a week (or more!) on hands-on activities.

A training event will be held on Tuesday, June 16 (9:00-11:30 AM) on the UW-Madison campus (location information available upon registering). Training will speak to activities to engage young learners, site needs and transportation.

Contact Dolly Ledin (, ARMS Program Manager, to register.
