Madison is a city rich with opportunities for exploring the sciences. This year, UW-Madison rolls out the red carpet to welcome its community during three days of exploration, March 20-22, 2015.
All UW-Madison Science Expeditions events are free and open to the public. Begin your expedition with exploration stations then venture to nearby “spectaculars” and open house events. A free trolley shuttle is available to take guests to satellite locations.
View the Science Expeditions schedule for the day and find directions on how to get to the various destinations.
Friday’s opening Equinox event from 6:30-9:00 PM at the Genetics-Biotech Center will feature topics of interest to an adult audience including art show and research into DNA, beer and wine.
Again this year, there will be two venues of exploration stations. Visit the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery on Saturday (10:00 AM-2:00 PM) and the Health Sciences Learning Center on Sunday (10:00 AM-2:00 PM). Sunday will also afford an opportunity to visit the College of Nursing’s new Signe Skott Cooper Hall (dedicated August, 2014).
