Preserving the Word: World Religions in our Libraries

March 12 – May 25, 2018

Librarians look at collections within a library as never final or complete; they consider resources from multiple libraries within an institution, within systems, and within consortia as ways to bring the library user thorough and extensive information on any given topic. This exhibit comprised items from many different libraries on campus. It was not reflective of the entire collection, and it was not reflective of all the religions of our users or visitors.

The co-curators of this exhibit — Thomas Durkin, Todd Michelson-Ambelang, and Lisa Wettleson — hoped that the materials exhibited would help visitors understand the complexity and uniqueness of identity and religion in the world.
