Materials such as books, textbooks, articles, videos, solution sets, and exams that an instructor has selected for use by students enrolled in a specific course are placed “on reserve” at the UW-Madison Libraries. Materials are made available in print, audio-visual or electronic formats.
All UW-Madison library reserves materials are available via MyUW. The Library/Reserve page for your course will contain:
- Links to online reserve readings (E-Reserves)
- Links to information about any books or audio-visual items on reserve for your course at a campus library
Depending on the course, you may also find links to research tools such as journal databases and websites, tips and techniques for effective library research, and contact information for personal assistance.
Access to these materials is restricted to students currently enrolled in the class. You may need to download the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader (free) to view and print E-Reserves documents. Streamed audio files require RealPlayer.
Requirements and Restrictions
Due to copyright law and/or licensing agreements, access to E-reserves materials is restricted to students currently enrolled in the class.
Some course materials may also be available through faculty or department home pages. Contact your instructor for more information on these materials.
