The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) are requiring individuals supported by research training, fellowship, research education, and career development awards to have ORCID iDs beginning in FY2020.
See the full notice for this new requirement here.
If you are impacted by this requirement you will need to connect your ORCID iD to your personal profile in eRA Commons.
Follow the steps shown in this library video tutorial to: 1) verify that you do not already have an ORCID iD, 2) create an ORCID iD, and 3) connect your ORCID iD to UW-Madison.
Log into the eRA Commons Personal Profile module and follow the steps in this eRA Commons ORCID iD help page. (NOTE: click the links embedded within the help page to open screen shots displaying the steps.)
