Public Service (Re)Locations

April 20th, 2017 by

Beginning Monday, 15 May, planned changes to Memorial Public Services locations will begin, specifically:

  • The Grants Information Collection (GIC)—currently located in Memorial Room 262D/E—will be relocated to the 2nd Floor Reference Room stacks.
  • The Microforms Media Center (MMC)—currently located in Memorial Room 443 (4th Floor West Corridor)—will close as an active public service location.  Starting on this day, you will place your microform requests at the Circulation Desk; items will be retrieved from the collection vaults. Microform reader/viewing/printing equipment will remain in Memorial Room 443 until relocated later in May.

On Wednesday, 31 May:

  • The former Microforms Media Center (MMC) reader/viewing/printing equipment will be relocated to its new home in Memorial Room 262D/E (2nd Floor near the current Reference Desk).

Access: Both collections will be accessible throughout the relocation process.

Noise: The Reference Room (Memorial 262) will be louder due to equipment use and staff/patron consultations.  We apologize for the inconvenience.  The rest of Memorial Library will remain a quite study space.
