For online and physical access options to the New York Times through the Libraries, view this Catalog record.
The New York Times is published in two formats: a print paper and online as New York Times Digital. The Libraries offer online access to articles from the print paper through databases. Also, some library locations provide access to physical copies of the print paper. Some articles and content appear in both the print paper and online, while other content is exclusively digital. Access to some articles and content, only available on NYTimes.com and the NYTimes app, requires a New York Times Digital subscription, which the Libraries do not have.
There are two ways to access the New York Times through library databases: using a journal search and searching for a database by type (newspapers).
In the results, locate an option where the date shows 1857- or view this Catalog record. Under Online Access, see electronic access options and time span covered for each option.
The New York Times is available through multiple databases. Note: In databases, most articles are presented as text only and do not include images, graphs and charts, and video.
