Spring 2021 Updates at the Office of the Gender and Women’s Studies Librarian

Access and Hours

  • For the spring semester, the GWSL is only open for In-Person Collection Access on Wednesdays from 9 am until noon and from 1 pm until 4 pm. Spaces will be cleaned from 12 to 1 pm and appointments are unavailable during this time.
  • Our staff is working remotely and can be reached via email.
  • Individuals must be in compliance with the campus health and safety program to enter library facilities. For more information, visit the campus Spring Semester 2021 Overview page.
  • Face masks or face coverings are required to enter campus libraries. In addition, we request that you practice physical distancing of six feet apart. Those unable to wear a mask can take advantage of our remote services.
  • Food and drink are not allowed in the library.

Research and Course Support from the GWS Librarian

  • All research and course support is being offered virtually by the GWS Librarian, Dr. Karla J. Strand. Email Dr. Strand to set up a virtual appointment or with any questions.
  • You can also chat or text with GWSL via the libraries’ Ask A Librarian service.
  • If you should require the use of our in-house collection, an appointment can be made for Wednesdays from 9 am to noon and 1 pm to 4 pm. Spaces will be cleaned from 12 to 1 pm and appointments are unavailable during this time. Please request appointments at least 48 hours in advance.
