Excellence-in-Service Awards

May 5, 2016

Every semester College Library recognizes the efforts of two student assistants who best demonstrate the library’s commitment to excellent customer service. This spring, Alex Derr and Keni Feuling, who both work in the library’s circulation unit, received the award.

Keni and Alex were recognized for their commitment to the library and for conscientiously serving staff and patrons. One of Keni’s nominators wrote, “Since joining the circulation staff in the fall of 2012, Keni has consistently worked long hours during the day and overnight, engaged with issues surrounding College Library’s culture and climate, provided leadership to peers, taken on a variety of projects as a lead worker, and been a constant example of what great customer service looks like.” Their supervisor noted, “They are one of those people who make things work right when stuff seems ready to come crashing down.” Meanwhile, Alex’s was commended for always seeing “the best in people. His optimism and commitment to College Library make it a pleasure to work with him.” The nominator continues, “On more than one occasion I have asked Alex to do something above-and-beyond and his unfailing good humor and willingness to do the job are always appreciated.”

College Library extends its sincere appreciation to all of the student assistants who staff the library and keep things running smoothly, and specifically Keni and Alex for the wonderful example they provide.
