Troubleshooting Reserves

How do I access course reserves for my class?

Why doesn’t my class have reading list link in Libraries Course Reading Lists?

  • Either no Libraries Course Reading List exists for your course, or materials are still being processed and are not yet available.
  • For questions about reserves, contact us or your instructor.

Why can’t I access readings assigned by my instructor from off campus?

  • Online readings through library licenses should be accessible to valid UW students, faculty and staff from off-campus. Some article databases may be restricted to on-campus and/or in-library use only. If you are having problems contact the Library Technology Group Help Desk, (608) 262-8880, for help.

  • If a document prints blank pages, skips pages or reverses pages (“mirror image”),
check the option for “Print as Image”. Then, upgrade to the latest printer driver software for your printer.
  • Adjusting the printer settings to 300 dpi may slightly decrease quality but improve
