The Life and Legacy of Aldo Leopold
We invite visitors to campus to join the University Archives staff and Beers-Bascom Professor Emeritus in Conservation, Dr. Stan Temple, in exploring the life and legacy of Aldo Leopold.
When: April 11, 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
Where: Steenbock Library, Room 425

An informal lecture about Leopold will be given by Dr. Temple, and the University Archives will have on display in the reading room original materials from the Aldo Leopold collection for visitors to see and interact with firsthand. Items such as original drafts of A Sand County Almanac; contents found in Leopold’s pockets the day he died; original drawings and maps by Leopold; photographs; and much more will be available for visitors to touch and handle.
This event is not appropriate for small children due to the fragility of the unique collection materials.
