11-Digit ID Numbers

To Login to MadCat, you will use your 11-Digit ID number. For more information about this number, go to the 11 Digit Login Information page.

Many times difficulty logging in is due to not including the 11th digit from your ID. This is the issue code on your ID card. For more information about login problems, choose the Blocked ID/Login Problem link in the menu box on the left.

Blocked ID/Login Problem

You may be blocked from logging in to access your MadCat account, to place requests, or to be presented with the specific databases your library allows you to search. Some reasons for a blocked account are:

  • An item you have checked out has been recalled by another patron and is overdue
  • You have more than five lost items on your record
  • Your ID has been blocked until the local address is updated
  • You have 250 or more items checked out
  • Your ID has expired
  • You did not enter in 11 digits

ID Replaced

If you should lose your ID, contact the Circulation Office immediately to report it. Staff will block your ID so that someone else cannot charge items out on it. Items charged on your ID are your responsbility.

Please present your new ID to staff at any Circulation Desk so that the new number can be entered into the system. This will prevent delays in accessing our electronic resources and borrowing materials.
