What the Libraries Will Do For You

The UW-Madison Libraries have agreed to help the campus implement this crucial initiative. The Libraries’ Scholarly Communication & Publishing Committee (SCP) is working with Research and Sponsored Programs and faculty to develop services and educational materials to help researchers comply with this NIH mandate. The libraries can:

  • Answer questions about the policy on a one-to-one basis. Please contact Julie Schneider, Ebling Library.
  • Meet with and present to groups or departments. Please contact Julie Schneider, Ebling Library.

  • Assist in interpreting or amending a copyright transfer agreement, or utilizing the campus copyright agreement. Please contact Dorothea Salo, MINDS@UW.
  • Submit a manuscript to PubMed Central on behalf of the author/co-author, or train authors or third parties in manuscript submission. Please contact Julie Schneider, Ebling Library.
  • Help grant submitters find citation information & PMCIDs. Please contact the liaison librarian for your department, school, or center.
  • Provide additional information about the NIH mandatory policy through email and postings on this web site.
