Communicating the results of scholarly research is essential to the building of knowledge. Today the landscape of scholarly communications and publishing is changing rapidly, affecting researchers, publishers and libraries alike. This web site for the UW-Madison community brings together information to illuminate such issues as copyright, the scholarly publishing landscape, and open access initiatives. In the current environment our roles as producers, providers and users of scholarly communication are not distinct. As our interests and needs evolve, the campus libraries offer resources to facilitate the ongoing discussion of scholarly communication and publishing issues in our university community.
