USING A METASITE

2. EXPLORE SOME LINKS TO INDIVIDUAL ORGANIZATIONS: The simplest use of a metasite is to use it as a convenient collection of links to other sites. The sub-pages of "More Sites on ..." provide links to ther sites. For example, you could go to "More Sites on Women and Development," which leads to the sub-page "Organizations and Sites the Emphasize Economics, Work, and Women & Development." The link listed as "Gender in Agriculture," is a toolkit from the World Bank.

The link for "Gender and Agriculture" is circled in red .

The Gender Analysis in Project Design section of the "Gender in Agriculture" toolkit lists seven interesting pitfalls concerning incorporating gender into project design.

How does the chart provided in this toolkit suggest ways that project managers can improve the attendance of women at meetings?
Have husbands chair the meetings.
Pay attention to time and schedule.
Have the women bring food.
Withhold funding unless the women attend.
