If you answered correctly on the previous page, you know that the search phrase should read: "(education or school! or literacy) w/10 India." The parentheses work to group the synonyms as one concept, before the database looks for their proximity to the second concept.



Option 3: You can also refine your search by employing "Focus," which searches within results. For instance, say you are interested in locating an article which mentions that literacy in India has reached ninety percent in some regions. From the document list you would enter "90 or ninety" in the "Focus" box and click on "Search Within Results."



Here's a relevant result, displayed in KWIC (Keyword-in-Context) form. KWIC displays approximately twenty words immediately surrounding the search term.
