UW-Madison Academic

If you are a UW-Madison faculty, student, staff, honorary fellow, etc., your Campus ID is your library card and you may:

  • Use available library resources while in a campus library
  • Borrow books and other media from campus libraries
  • Request that books from one campus library be delivered to another campus library for pickup (Book retrieval)
  • Borrow books and media from UW System libraries (Univeral Borrowing)
  • Place InterLibrary Loan (Library Express) requests
  • Access all licensed electronic resources while in campus libraries
  • Access most electronic resources remotely
  • Have articles available on campus to you via email

UW System Academic

If you are a UW System faculty, staff or student, you may use your Campus ID to:

  • Use UW-Madison fee-based services (e.g. Wisconsin TechSearch)

Friends of the UW-Madison Libraries

If you have a membership in Friends of the UW-Madison Libraries, you may obtain a library card which allows you to:

  • Use available library resources while in a campus library

  • Use available library resources while in a campus library
  • Borrow books and media from campus libraries
  • Request that books from one campus library be delivered to another campus library for pickup (Book retrieval)
