Now accepting submissions for Digital Salon 2012

MADISON, Wis. - This Spring semester students have an opportunity to show their media projects in a curated exhibition on the UW-Madison campus.

The UW Libraries and the Digital Humanities Initiative will host the 3rd Annual Digital Salon from Sunday, April 15 - Friday April 20, 2012. This one-week exhibition of new media projects by UW undergraduate and graduate students showcases artistic and research-based projects that take digital form or rely heavily on information technology in the production process. Work might include podcasts, experimental videos, animations, graphic novels or essays, websites, blogs, multimedia installations, posters, etc.
- Digital Salon projects will be curated by a committee of UW faculty and staff
- Exhibited in College Library's Open Book Cafe and online.
- This year, the curation committee will recognize best projects in several categories.
Undergraduate students who want to participate in the Undergraduate Symposium can elect to have their projects displayed at the Digital Salon Exhibition at the Symposium (in addition to the main Digital Salon exhibition in College Library's Open Book Cafe and online). The Undergraduate Symposium is Wednesday, April 18 at Union South. To do this, students should fill out an application to the Undergraduate Symposium and check the "Digital Salon" box on their application.
