Mills Music Library presents a conversation and concert with Dr. Bill Malone

MADISON, Wis. - The Mills Music Library presents Dr. Bill Malone, award winning author and host of WORT's "Back to the Country", in a conversation and concert with Hank Sapoznik and Tim Meehan, celebrating the life and work of Mike Seeger.

The subject of Dr. Malone's new book, Music from the True Vine: Mike Seeger's Life and Musical Journey, Mike Seeger (1933-2009) spent more than fifty years documenting, performing and popularizing American folk music. The conversation will focus on Seeger’s brilliant musicianship, his contributions to bluegrass music and the folk music revival, his efforts to create public awareness of the original old-time performers and on the remarkable contributions of the Seeger family. The Mills Music Library is pleased to present this conversation with Bill Malone and Hank Sapoznik, illustrated with live performance of Mike Seeger's music.
