Lorberer, Robinson take part in FELIX event

Eric LorbererMADISON, Wis.—The spring 2007 “FELIX: A Series of New Writing” event features poets Eric Lorberer and Elizabeth Robinson at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, in 126 Memorial Library.

Lorberer is the editor of Rain Taxi Review of Books and the director of the Twin Cities Book Festival. He has published poems, essays, and criticism in numerous magazines and speaks at conferences and literary festivals around the country as an advocate for independent publishing and literary culture.

Robinson is the author of seven books of poetry, including the National Poetry Series winner Pure Elizabeth RobinsonDescent and Fence Modern Poets Series winner Apprehend. Among numerous other honors, She has been a MacDowell Colony Fellow and a recipient of a grant from The Fund for Poetry. Robinson is on the creative writing faculty at the University of Colorado, where she also curates a reading series.

Named after Felix Pollak (1909–1987), poet and former curator of Special Collections, FELIX is a developing reader series that provides a forum for young writers and publishers for conversation on the evolution of “little magazines” and their role in today’s literary society.

After their readings, the poets will take questions from the audience.
