Holiday music concert offered by Friends of UW-Madison Libraries

MADISON, Wis.--Victorian holiday music will be featured in a concert sponsored by the Friends of the UW-Madison Libraries as part of its Performance Series.
The concert is scheduled at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 1, Mills Hall, Humanities Building, 455 N. Park St.
The event features renowned pianist Trevor Stephenson on his own 1873 English grand piano. He will be accompanied by violinist Jesús Florido.
The program includes Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite," arranged for piano by the composer; Mozart's variations for violin and piano on the old French carol "The Holly and the Ivy"; and a selection of holiday favorites. Stephenson, who has appeared throughout the United States as a performer and lecturer, will also discuss the instrument, the music, and the composers.
