Former Mills Music Library Director Geri Laudati Passes Away

Geri Laudati, former director of the Mills Music Library, passed away Sunday, Aug. 6, in New Jersey after a long illness. She retired June 6 and was spending time with her sister and family.
Geri Laudati
Laudati's career at Mills Music Library spanned four decades. From 1979-'80 and in 1981, she served as a temporary music librarian at Mills, where she planned and implemented the conversion to OCLC cataloging for music scores and sound recordings. Laudati rejoined Mills in 1989 as the director of the library after heading the music library at East Carolina University. She managed the expansion of the library through many gifts and acquisitions as well as the development of online resources, most recently the Wisconsin Folksong collection.
