Family & Society Studies Worldwide Over 1800 journals, books, chapters, newsletters, government documents, and dissertations covering the educational, medical, psychological and sociological aspects of family literature.
PsycINFO Produced by the American Psychological Association, it contains citations and abstracts of the world's literature in psychology and related subjects from more than 1300 journal titles from more than 50 countries.
Sloan Work and Family Literature Database Work and family studies resources from a wide variety of sources: peer-reviewed journals, books, chapters in books, reports from research organizations, dissertations, and academic working papers.
Social Sciences Full Text Over 415 key periodicals in the fields of economics, politics and foreign affairs, public administration, public health, sociology, criminology, environmental and urban studies, psychology and anthropology.
Social Work Abstracts It contains citations and abstracts to articles from more than 450 journals in the areas of the social work profession, theory and practice, areas of service, social issues, and social problems.
Sociological Abstracts This database indexes and abstracts 2,000 worldwide journals in sociology.

Oldest and largest education-related database. It covers journal articles and ERIC Documents. Most from 1993 to the present are available in PDF format via the links in ERIC and EDRS (http://www.edrs.com). Chicano Database The Chicano Database is the most comprehensive bibliographic resource for information about Mexican-American topics and the only specialized database for Chicano references. Approximately 125 serials are completely indexed.
Ethnic Newswatch A full-text collection of more than 200 newspapers, magazines and journals of the ethnic, minority and native press. Spanish language publications are presented in Spanish. The entire database is searchable in both English and Spanish.
HAPI Online (Hispanic American Periodicals Index) HAPI Online contains worldwide information about Central and South America, Mexico, the Caribbean basin, the United States-Mexico border region, and Hispanics in the United States. It covers materials published in more than 400 key social science and humanities journals, containing more than 210,000 citations. See also Latin American Studies.
International Index to Black Periodicals (IIBP Full Text)
Includes current and selective retrospective bibliographic citations and abstracts from more than 150 scholarly and popular journals, newspapers and newsletters from the United States, Africa and the Caribbean. Medline Premier medical literature database.
Nursing and Allied Health (CINAHL) CINAHL database provides coverage of the literature related to nursing and allied health including consumer health and biomedicine.
 
Alternative/Small Press  
Alternative Press Index Indexes approximately 300 alternative, radical, and left publications that report and analyze the practices and theories of cultural, economic, political, and social change. Ninety per cent of the publications indexed in API are unique; they are not covered in more mainstream indexes.
Left Index Provides indexing to "the diversity of literature on the left, with a primary emphasis on politically and culturally engaged scholarship inside and outside the academy and a secondary emphasis on significant but little known sources of news and ideas." Topics covered include politics, economics, the labor movement, ecology and environment, women's studies, race and ethnicity, social and cultural theory, sociology, art and aesthetics, philosophy, history, education, law, and globalization.
