Plant Description:
A woody, deciduous tree or shrub that can grow to large tree size. Leave are
alternate and lanceolate. Leaf size may range from 1-6 inches in length. The
plant flowers in April-June
Remarks:
Willows are found throughout the state. They are found commonly along streambanks,
drainage ditches, and floodplains. Willow is a common invader of cranberry beds.
Airborne seed is often introduced into new and established beds. Control is
very difficult if the plant is left unchecked.
