Plant Description:
Orange Hawkweed is a perennial plant reaching from 6-24 inches in height. Reproduction occurs by stolons and seeds. Stems sprout from a basal rosette of leaves. The plant produces an orange flower during the months of June-September.

Remarks:
Orange Hawkweed is found commonly statewide. It can be found growing along roadsides, lawns, and other disturbed areas. It may be found growing on dikes or cranberry marshes. It is an occasional invader of new plantings. This plant may become a weed pest in the new upland type marshes.
