Plant Description:
Northern St. Johnswort is a perennial plant that grows from 6-10 inches in height.
Leaves are attached with petioles and have small black dots spread across them.
Reproduction occurs by seed and by root stock. A yellow flower is produced during
the months of June-August.
Remarks:
Northern St. Johnswort is a common invader of new plantings and areas of weakened
vines. Seeds and root stock are introduced into new beds with vine cuttings.
The plant is very prolific and tends to prefer soils with pH near 6.0.
