Plant Description:
Meadowsweet is a perennial plant ranging in height from 1-3 feet. It is a woody
shrub with alternate, lance shaped, finely serrated leaves. White flowers appear
in dense terminal panicles during the months of June-August.
Remarks:
Meadowsweet can be found in many areas surrounding cranberry marshes. On cranberry
marshes it is found commonly along drainage ditch edges and dikes. It is not
a serious competitor with cranberries.
