Plant Description:
A perennial plant reaching from 12-24 inches in height. Leaves are lance-shaped
and have an opposite arrangement of the stems. Flowers appear during the months
of July-September. Flowers are yellow in color and have circles of red spots
on the petals.
Remarks:
A common invader to many established cranberry beds and native marshes of Wisconsin.
Plants often become established along bed edges where herbicides tend to leach
and gradually spread inward. Dense stands will compete with vines for sunlight.
