Plant Description:
A perennial plant growing from 2-6 feet in height. Leaves are in a whorled arrangement
around a purple spotted stem. Flowers bloom from July-September and appear pinkish-purple
in color and are disc shaped.
Remarks:
Joe-Pye Weed can be found in a variety of wetland habitats. It is common in
old marshlands next to adjacent cranberry beds. It may occur along some drainage
ditches and bed edges.
