Plant Description:
A perennial plant reaching from 6-24 inches in height. Leaves are lance-shaped
and have a yellowish-green color. Flowers appear during the months of July-September.
Flowers are a whitish-pink color at first but turn orange as they mature.
Remarks:
The plant is common to lakes, streams, and marshes throughout the state. In
recent years the plant has become increasingly common to cranberry marshes.
It usually grows in poorly drained areas of the bed or in bed ditches. It may
also invade bare or weakened areas of vines in both new and established plantings.
