Plant Description:
Dandelion is a perennial plant that reaches a height of 3-12 inches. The root
system sprouts new stems each year with a new rosette of leaves. Leaves are
simple and variously lobed. Flowers are borne between April-September and are
yellow in color. Seeds are brown and are attached to fine hair-like tufts.
Remarks:
Dandelions are found in many areas. They occasionally invade new plantings and
void areas in established beds where the pH is high. It is often introduced
to these areas a soil contaminates or airborne seed.
