Dandelion is a perennial plant that reaches a height of 3-12 inches. The root system sprouts new stems each year with a new rosette of leaves. Leaves are simple and variously lobed. Flowers are borne between April-September and are yellow in color. Seeds are brown and are attached to fine hair-like tufts.

Remarks:
Dandelions are found in many areas. They occasionally invade new plantings and void areas in established beds where the pH is high. It is often introduced to these areas a soil contaminates or airborne seed.
