History of Education is a multiunit set in microfiche based upon monographic holdings of Milbank Memorial Library, Teachers College, Columbia University. Primary European and North American educational materials published between the 15th and 19th centuries are represented.

This unit contains much material on 19th century American university education, particularly Harvard University, but also includes works on the University of Edinburgh and University of Cambridge as well. Authors included are Charles Kendall Adams, Sophie Bryant, Phillip Kelland, Richard Kukula, Cesar von Lengerke, August Kohler, Richard Green Moulton, John Henry Newman, R.D. Roberts and Adam Sedgwick.
The guide to each unit includes a fiche listing by both number and a main entry index (title or author).
