East Asian Studies Reading Room

The East Asian Studies Reading Room, or Room 412, is located in the north wing on the fourth floor of Memorial Library. The reading room was created with the remodeling of the Memorial Library building in 1990. It houses the East Asian reference collection, current issues of selected periodicals in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, and Tibetan materials of all formats and sizes and oversized reference materials.

Regular size books and periodicals (except AP) are on 4 North. Regular size periodicals with call numbers beginning "AP" are on 4 South. Oversize books and periodicals are on 4 North. Oversize periodicals with call numbers beginning "AP" are on 4 North. Some large sets of East Asian Collectanea are shelved on 4 South.

Regular size books and periodicals in the Western language are shelved with other Western language materials by subject. Consult Stacks Guide for location. Current issues of selected periodicals in English about Asia, East Asia, and the countries of the region are available in the Current Periodicals Room, Room 240, and in the East Asian Studies Reading Room, Room 412.
