Bayfield, Wisconsin, c. 1870-80(?)

Lumber mill in the town of Bayfield. A Wisconsin Central Railroad pamphlet of 1858 mentions one lumber mill in the town, and by 1888 there are two listed in the city directory. These two are the Brigham and Mussell Pine Land and Lumber Company, owned by Elisha K. Brigham an Aaron J. Mussell, at Broad and Front Avenues; and the Bayfield Brown Stone Company and Lumber Manufacturer, owned By Robinson D. Pike on Rittenhouse Avenue. This is probably one of these two.
