Gathering at the cottage of H. D. Page on the occasion of a speech by Robert M. La Follette, Sr. Some members of Mrs. La Follette's family also appear in the photograph and the Page cottage is on the hill in the background. Mr. La Follette had addressed a group of county Republican clubs.

The child in the foreground is unidentified, but is thought to be Mrs. Jones' daughter.
