Importing Proquest Records into EndNote

  1. To Export (Save) records you must be viewing the records from the Results List.
  2. Mark records and click on Export
  3. If searching on the computer that has EndNote then click on Export directly to ProCite, EndNote or Reference Manager. Records will be automatically exporting into the EndNote library of your choice.
  4. If not on a computer that has EndNote you need to save records for later transfer.
    1. Select Download in a format compatible with ProCite, EndNote....
    2. Select File and Save As.
    3. Identify your disk drive and filename plus the extension .txt (plain text) in the File Name Box.
      Example: a:myfile.txt
    4. Click on OK.
Note: Currently Proquest does not support a format compatible with EndNote when emailing records.

In EndNote( if you did not use Direct Export and have a saved file )

  1. Open your EndNote library.
  2. Select File and Import.
  3. Click on Choose File and select the text file to download.
  4. Click on Open.
  5. Select the Proquest filter from Import Option: pull-down menu. If filter is not found in pull-down menu select Other Filters.
  6. Click on Import.
