Connect to Dissertations
UW-Madison faculty, students and staff have access to the full-text (in pdf format) of UW-Madison dissertations starting in 1997.
To get the full-text:
- Click on one of the links below and put the author's name and/or title of the dissertation in the search box.
- After you get the citation for the dissertation, click on "free" where it says "xx.x Mb image-only PDF, free!". Depending on the database, you may have a button on the left that says "free download."
- You will be asked for your email address and you will receive an email message with a four-digit pin number and a url to click on to access the dissertation.
- It may take up to 24 hours to prepare the dissertation for downloading, but often you will have access faster than that.
- The pin number is valid for 72 hours, but if you need access after that, you can just redo your search.
