Your Voice Matters

October 26, 2015

College Library is hosting continuing conversation spaces in collaboration with the AAU Sexual Assault Campus Climate Survey Task Force. The purpose of this effort is to give students a voice in the ongoing discussion surrounding the issue of sexual assault on our campus.

Until November 13th, the library is featuring a display of literature from campus partners such as PAVE, UHS, SafeWalk, etc. Adjacent is a suggestion box which students are encouraged to use to respond to such questions as:

  • What has been your experience at UW-Madison with sexual assault and harassment?
  • Do you feel safe here?
  • What do you need to feel and be safe here?
  • How can students stand up to sexual assault?
  • What can UW-Madison do to help decrease sexual assault on campus?
  • What are you doing to combat sexual violence?

All of the comments will be collected by the AAU Sexual Assault Climate Survey Task Force and incorporated into their report. In addition to the suggestion box, every evening after a campus presentation on the issue, a white board will be placed in the library’s 1st Floor Center to gather user feedback.
