Moving Citations from WorldCat.org into RefWorks

In WorldCat.org

  1. Create a free account if you do not already have one. An account is necessary to save records to lists and export them.
  2. Login to your account.
  3. Search for items.
  4. Click in the box to the left of desired records.
  5. Select list name (or New List to create new list) from the New List drop-down menu at top of screen.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Click your list at top of screen.
  8. Click Citations View tab.
  9. Click in the box to the left of desired records.
  10. Select to RefWorks from the as HTML drop-down menu next to Export selected references.
  11. Click Export.

In RefWorks

  1. Login to your RefWorks database if you have not already done so.
  2. Your citation(s) will automatically be imported into the Last Imported Folder.

    You may now view your records and move them to the folder of your choice.
