Importing Engineering Village 2 Records into EndNote

  1. Click in the box to the left of desired records.
  2. Choose desired format from CHOOSE FORMAT:.
  3. Click DOWNLOAD at the top of the screen .
  4. Click in the circle to the left of RIS, ENDNOTE,.....
  5. Click DOWNLOAD.
  6. Click SAVE.
    Save records as a text file, with the filename plus the extension .txt in the File Name Box.
    Example: myfile.txt
  7. Click SAVE.
    If emailing records, you must then save them with a file name from your email program before importing them into EndNote.

Importing Your Saved Engineering Village Records into EndNote

  1. Open your EndNote database.
  2. At the menu bar select FILE and IMPORT.
  3. Click CHOOSE FILE and select your Engineering Village text file.
  4. Click OPEN.
  5. Select REFMAN RIS from the IMPORT OPTION: pull-down menu
    If filter is not found in pull-down menu, click OTHER FILTERS.
  6. Click IMPORT.
