We LOVE our alumni. Especially alums like Larry O. (’64) who generously shared with us his memories and items from his clarinet-playing days at UW-Madison. Larry accompanied the marching band to the 1963 Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

By chance, Larry’s wife happened to discover in our collections, a photo of Larry and his crew, rehearsing for their big half time show at the Rose Bowl (front row, third from left).We think the clarinet section is looking pretty “cool”.

In turn, Larry shared with the Archives his own photos and beloved UW band jacket (photo on left). Snazzy!
