This calendar of ornamental material from the collection of the Silver Buckle Press was published in 1988; it is a specimen book that displays the Press's diverse collection of turn-of-the-century printer's ornaments. A total of fifteen ornamental compositions were set from a variety of decorative and border fonts. The inventive compositions illustrate the breadth of the collection, as well as suggesting imaginative ways of assembling and using type ornaments. The universal calendar, usable in any year, has three pages of numbered grids per month and a section for names, addresses and phone numbers.
